Data deletion
Here you can find the most important information about how to delete or export your account and data in Thalesto.
This English version is provided for convenience. The German version remains the primary reference.
Account deletion in the app
- Open Profile in the app.
- Open Privacy.
- Select Delete my data.
Data export
Before deletion, you can export your protocol as a PDF. This lets you save your previous search steps before the account is deleted.
What happens during deletion
In the app, you can choose between full deletion and anonymized retention of certain professional community feedback. The personal account reference should be removed.
- The current app selection is preset to full deletion.
- Anonymized retention of professional community feedback is optional if you deliberately select it.
- Personal data such as sessions, device states, push tokens, notification settings, search profile, waiting list and personal filters should be removed.
Backups
Deletion applies to the productive app database and actively used systems. Contabo Auto Backup is active; according to support, up to 10 daily backups are available and older restore points are automatically replaced. Deleted data may therefore technically remain in rotating backups for a limited time. Backups are not used for normal app usage, but only for restoration and operational security.

Response time
Privacy and deletion requests should, according to the current internal target, receive an initial response within seven days at the latest.
